Before
The Spectrum before I started work. The connector at the front is composite video on a flying lead taken off the modulator.
Simplification
Carefully removing the modulator and replacing it with a small bracket with a composite connector is fairly easy and modernizes the console.
Shiney
After all done it looks all shiney like new!

Composite video output fits nicely in the original TV slot on the back.
